Professor Niamh Stack and Professor Margaret Sutherland spoke about some of the challenges of early childhood identification and education for gifted students.

Thinking outside the Toy Box

In this session, Professor Margaret Sutherland (an expert in inclusive education particularly gifted education) and Professor Niamh Stack (a developmental psychologist) will talk about the need to think outside the box when identifying and providing for highly able learners in early years settings. They will discuss the particular challenges of identification and provision during this stage of development and provide some practical suggestions and solutions to addressing the needs of these young people.
