Giftedness and Educational Policy

This informative talk will look at how giftedness is perceived in policy documents and in teacher practice and what enabling and constraining factors can be identified in the process of policy enactment. Based on theories by Ball (1993) and Foucault (1981) the talk will examine how giftedness is perceived in educational policy and how giftedness can be studied as a matter in policy.
